Influences cited from Chromeo to Earth, Wind and Fire and Girltalk to George Benson; the boys integrate elements of their preferred music styles to then stamp it with their signature flair. Self-proclaimed as falling under the Disco/Funk/French-house barrier, Yasumo are causing dance-floor antics by simply, ‘Putting our own spin on the music we love…’
There is no denying that two minds are better than one, especially when those two minds individually hold an instinctive artistic force and natural musicality. Yasumo support and further exceed this theory with releases on Silhouette Music (NED) and Jump To This (MEL), remixes for Detroit-vinyl-extraordinaire Arthur Baker and radio airplay across the high-seas of England and France. Track after track of the Yasumo brand continue to appear on online music store charts – Constantly supplementing their growing impact on the scene. Their stylistically diverse selection of sounds each brings a realm of sonic brilliance to the fore.
Having supported the likes of international heavyweights Pete Tong, Grum, Oh Snap!, Monkey Safari, Tittsworth and Mowgli, plus accolades from Tommie Sunshine, Aston Shuffle, Giom, Smokingroove and Dave Allison – The duo are only just getting started.
